Nursery Reveal

I can’t believe I haven’t done this yet! My baby’s bedroom is almost finished. He’s only seven months old, no big deal, right?

Here’s the view from the door. Not sure why I had the lamp on…it couldn’t have been giving that much light. Amateur… 🙂

The changing table which I use religiously. I’ve heard people think that a changing table is a waste as they just change the diaper wherever it’s needed in the house. It might be the cloth diapers and wipes we use, but I always come up here to change Jack’s diaper. It’s just easier.

A little wider shot including the recently painted closet (lamp off this time…).

The crib…man, I love that crib. It’s the first baby item we purchased. Love. it.

My “nursing” chair. I’ve spent many, many, many hours in this chair. I also LOVE this chair. It is originally from Pottery Barn, and I coveted it for many weeks before Dan finally put the brakes on. It was just too expensive. $1000 is a bit much for a chair in the nursery, no? After hours of scouring Craigslist, I found THE chair used from someone in town! I love it when the stars align like that. 🙂

A little wider look of the right side of the room…

It’s the most complete room in the house right now, but I have a couple more projects to finish it off:

  • Finish the small wood bookshelf next to the chair. It’s naked wood currently, and I’m not sure if I want to paint or stain it. If i stain it do I go espresso like the rest of the room or maybe light? Dilemmas, dilemmas…
  • Add a collage above said bookshelf which will include pictures and a clock (I’m already working on this!).
  • Add a window box/bookshelf under the window. I need Dan to build this one for me so it might be a while as his “to build” list is rapidly growing!
