This body just keeping on kicking, but I’ve had my fair share of bumps in the road. To be honest, I haven’t always had the greatest attitude either. I feel so healthy until all the sudden, I’m not.

I’ve learned though that wallowing in my problems is no way to live the life God has given me. Perhaps, He gave me these health issues so I can be a resource or encouragement to others. I chose this.

My two major health issues:

  • An Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) resection from the right frontal lobe of my brain (December 2009) | I was 25 when my AVM was discovered and removed. I was very lucid throughout the order so I remember quite a bit, and I’ve written about it extensively. Click through to read my AVM story.
  • Adult-onset Type 1 Diabetes (April 2017) | This is a new diagnosis, and I’ve done extensive research and experimentation in managing it. To boil it down, I’ve found that you can stop your body from attacking the pancreas, thereby maintain a level of normal functioning. The solution I’ve discovered is to eat gluten, grain, and dairy free. Click through to read my on-going progress.

I want to be a comfort and help to others walking similar roads. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. (It feels necessary to add a disclaimer: I am not a doctor, and I am not providing medical advice. I am an avid reader, researcher, and believer in the body’s ability to heal when given the right food and conditions.)
