This body just keeps on kicking, but I’ve had my fair share of bumps in the road. To be honest, I haven’t always had the greatest attitude either. I feel so healthy until all the sudden, I’m not.
I’ve learned that wallowing in my problems is no way to live the life God has given me. He allowed me to LIVE through open skull brain surgery! He gave me these health issues so I can praise Him and be a resource or encouragement to others. I chose to live vibrantly with the health I have.
My two major health issues:
- An Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) resection from the right frontal lobe of my brain (December 2009) | I was 25 when my AVM was discovered and removed. I was very lucid throughout the order so I remember quite a bit, and I’ve written about it extensively. Pull up a chair, and click the button below to read my story.
- Adult-onset Type 1 Diabetes (April 2017) | This is a new diagnosis, and I’ve done extensive research and experimentation in managing it. To boil it down, I’ve found that you can stop your body from attacking the pancreas, thereby maintain a level of normal functioning. The solution I’ve discovered is to remove gluten, grain, dairy, and eggs from my diet as I am highly sensitive to those. I want to be a comfort and help to others walking similar roads. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
